Nice modern hotel in the city centre, very clean.
Staff were helpful when their English was adequate. They did make apologies and tried their best. Meager breakfast was cheerfully presented. Once I found my way in with help from a neighboring barkeep, my initial impression was good.
My first room was astonishingly noisy from cars and trolleys, as well as a baby in the next room who cried for hours. Exhaustion didn't save me because the bed literally kept falling apart and loudly. My next room had a smoking lounge right outside the door. Staff members literally left the building at 7pm so when I was locked out of the hotel because the electronic lock failed, I waited a half hour for the owner to unlock it. Fortunately, one of the other guests had a cel phone. Need I go on? It was Kafkaesque.
The best choise if you want to stay in Vienna for 5-6 days. Friendly and helpfull personell, 10 minutes by walk to inner city, perfect mexican restaurant nearby, clean and light rooms, very calm district. 10/10
close to city centre, tram few steps from hotel, subway 10 min walk, good breakfast, nice staff
small bathroom - but that´s not important :-)
the location was fantastic to walk to the city centre
The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast was available until 11 am, usually hotels close up shop at 10. The location, in the University district, is close to the Rathaus and also many and various restaurants.
It was very hot in Vienna and without air conditioning, the rooms were uncomfortable. The supplied large fan helped but it was no substitute for a.c. Hence, the 'fair' for 'comfort.' Otherwise, the comfort was excellent.
The breakfast was good, the very helpful staff were excellent
Aircondition would have been a help during the hottest week Vienna has experienced for years but we had been given a fan which did help a lot
room is too noyse.
It was a bit strange that there was no 24*7 reception service. If you have issue (like us) with your access card it is a bit hard to get is solved.
Smiling stuff,cleaning,good location and price.
Huge apartment with new furniture in a nice district with many cafes nearby, 10 minutes to Rathaus and 20 to Stephansdom.
Nice clean apartament, good internet, clean, nice personell, close subway
Free parking, 20minute to city center
Cleanness of rooms, nice staff
Not working fridge, not fully cleaned floor
The hotel is very nice and clean. The location is very good - quite close from the city center and Westbahnhof. Personal is extremely helpful.
The breakfast is quite poor, but OK. The shower is not very hot. Our room was near reception desk - we could hear what's happening there.
A central location: Bezirk 8, Josefstadt, behind the Rathuas with easy access to Tram 5 to the Westbahnhoff and bus 13a to the Belvedere and Heeresgescictliches Museum on Arsenal Strasse. A wonderfully cordial, young, positive, and very helpful staff. They helped to make my Vienna trip what it was - perfect! There are good restaurants within walking distance. Right downstairs is the hip "Mas" which is Mexican and attracts a well heeled crowd until late evening. Within walking distance there are several Japanese and Indian. "Ambulanz" in the grounds of the University of Vienna on Alser Strasse. Popular, traditional Viennese good food, and very reasonable prices. If you want a clean, quiet hotel that is central then you will enjoy City Rooms
City rooms is a new hotel and is a work in progress. A new breakfast area is being prepared and it shares the building with other businesses and tenants. So, there are enhancements under way. They do not intrude on your stay. It is more like having an apartment in a city than a hotel room. You come and go as you please with your entry card. After about 7 PM there is no one on site. This may make some people uncomfortable. You can call for assistance if needed. I adjusted to it and have no regrets about my stay.
